Personal and clinical care
Our expert staff include registered nurses, responsible for providing safe and effective clinical care, including medication administration, pain management, wound management and other specialised nursing care needs.
Health and wellbeing services
At St Paul’s Hostel, we offer a wide range of services designed to promote health and wellbeing.
Other services include speech pathology and massage therapy.

On admission, a physiotherapist will provide assessment and create a customised treatment plan tailored to your needs. Your treatment plan is reviewed and updated regularly in response to your changing needs and wishes.
A podiatrist visits our home every eight weeks, for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of problems with the feet and lower limbs.
A dietician visits our home once a month or as needed, to review and make recommendations around the nutritional needs of residents.
All residents have dental check-ups once a year or as needed.
Residents receive eye examinations once every year or as needed.
Residents have their hearing assessed every two years or as needed.
Other services include speech pathology and massage therapy.

Lifestyle programs
We encourage and support residents to lead active and enriching social lives, both within and outside the home. Our lifestyle programs are tailored to suit your interests and abilities, with a wide range of rewarding and enjoyable activities, designed to raise spirits and promote confidence. Activities include visitors from local schools and kindergartens and day excursions on our fifteen-seater bus.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care services are available to all residents.
Our on-site chapel holds regular Catholic mass in different languages, while feast days are celebrated with food and special activities. Residents are also welcome to join prayer and Rosary groups.
Our hairdresser visits once a week, providing the usual services you would expect to find at your local hair salon, including cuts, colours and styling. Our friendly hairdresser goes above and beyond to ensure you look your best and feel amazing. A price list can be found on the main notice board in the foyer.
Other services for daily living at St Paul’s Hostel include cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and gardening.
Meeting are held once every three months, offering residents, families, friends and other support persons a meaningful opportunity to contribute to decision making at St Paul’s. All are welcome to attend these meetings.
